SHATTER BRAIN RELEASE VIDEO FOR COVER OF MOTORHEAD'S 'IRON FIST', MIXED BY KURT BALLOU
South Australian thrashers Shatter Brain present their cover of the Motörhead classic Iron Fist! First released by the Heavy Metal legends in 1982, Shatter Brain have taken the down time afforded to them by the COVID-19 pandemic to record their own interpretation of this ripping track. The video was produced and edited by Chalky at Moshriff Creative and features live footage from the band's recent "Tryna Tour in 2021 Tour".
The track was recorded at Against the Grain Studios in late 2020 to during tracking for their next EP (details TBA), and was mixed by Kurt Ballou (Converge, Black Breath, Kvelertak) at GodCity Studio. Talking about the track, the band states:
"We're big Motorhead fans and have been playing Iron Fist live for a while, so we put this down when we hit the studio last (to record our next EP, details TBA!). We've also been longtime admirers of Kurt Ballou's work at GodCity Studio, so to work with him on this track was unreal! He really helped us take it to a different level."
As with their debut LP 'Pitchfork Justice', mastering was handled by Dav Byrne at Iridium Audio, and the re-interpretation of the classic artwork was executed by Steve Lehmann.
The track will be available on all streaming platforms in the coming days. Although there is no official physical release date set for the track, the band will have something special for sale EXCLUSIVELY at upcoming shows.
